Dr. P. Sugumar has successfully helped in establishing the trust and is heading the organization since establishment. After completing post-graduation in Occupational therapy his quench to serve the needy as like his father has made a pathway towards stronger and deeper foundation of Kamakshi Pandarinathan Trust.

The trust was started with a few children with developmental disorder with his continuous effort, now the Trust is a well-established center for children with Autism delivering child specific evidence-based practice services. His motto is to serve the needy with the available resources.

He treats disabled, ill, or injured patients with special equipment and the therapeutic use of daily activities. He helps patients improve, regain, and develop the skills needed for day-to-day life and work. He also provides long-term patient care and acute patient care.

As an Occupational Therapist His Responsibilities are:

  • Conducting physical assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
  • Assessing home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed.
  • Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
  • Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
  • Preparing clients for a return to work.
  • Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
  • Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
  • Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
  • Complying with federal, state, and local certification requirements.
  • Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.
