The speech and language therapy service provided by Srimathi Karthikeyani School for Special Children includes assessment, intervention, home training, parental counselling, group therapy. An experienced and skilled Speech Language Pathologist works along with parents in delivering the therapy in a play way. We provide Oromotor exercises, child language therapy, adult language therapy, voice therapy, fluency therapy, swallowing therapy, Alternative and Augmentative communication, phonological and phonetic training using different newly advanced techniques. Speech Language Therapy is the treatment for most kids with speech and language disorders. A speech disorder refers to a problem with making sounds. In speech-language therapy, Our SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) works with a child one-on-one, in a small group, or in a classroom to overcome problems.
Language Intervention – The SLP engages a child in play and conversation using books, pictures, and objects to enhance vocabulary and grammar.
Articulation Therapy – The therapist models correct sounds and syllables through play, helping the child practice and improve speech clarity.
Oral-Motor & Swallowing Therapy – Exercises like facial massage and tongue movements strengthen oral muscles for better eating, drinking, and swallowing.
