Remedial Education

Remedial education programs are intended to bridge the gap between what the child already knows and what they should know. So here we are focusing on Fundamental skills, fundamental skills are retaught in these programs. Reading and math are usually the focus of remedial programs for younger children. Other subjects, such as science and social studies, are included in older children's programs. Also here we provide extra assistance to children in order to help them catch up to their peers.

Creating a Supportive Learning Environment for Autistic Children

At Srimathi Karthikeyani School for Special Children, we focus on providing an environment that minimizes distractions and fosters concentration for autistic children. Our approach includes creating a structured routine, offering fewer choices to reduce confusion, and promoting calm interactions.

Key Features:

    • Structured Environment & Predictable Routines – We use picture schedules and maintain consistency in daily activities, only changing for special events with clear visual representations.
    • Minimized Stimuli & Clear Communication – We reduce unnecessary stimuli, such as loud noises, and encourage clear, calm communication to help prevent confusion and agitation.
    • Promoting Social Skills through One-on-One Interactions – We provide structured opportunities for social interactions, allowing children to practice and improve their social behaviors in a supportive setting.
